Reported result · October 22 ↗ · Issuer adjusted diluted EPS was $1.07 versus GAAP $0.97; Google Finance also labels $1.07 normalized. The original model excludes an assumed restructuring charge; the issuer’s actual adjustment table does not identify that same charge. The published model and frozen $0.99 Street estimate are preserved. · Normalized EPS source ↗

The model excludes an assumed $175m restructuring charge. Keeping that charge gives about $0.95 EPS; the like-for-like Street comparison is pending.

Shortcut’s reasoning.

The customer, media, studio and parks build forecasts $29.36bn in revenue. The model-normalized EPS estimate is $0.9884, alongside the Street’s $0.99.

The primary scenario excludes an assumed $175m restructuring charge. Keeping that charge gives about $0.951 EPS; its future treatment is unverified, so the percentage comparison is pending. A Business Services average-customer reference was corrected using the original stated growth assumption; all exact EPS changes are recorded in the review notes.

Model assumptions and review notes
  • The original model-normalized forecast assumes a$175m restructuring charge is excluded. The amount and non-GAAP treatment are judgments, not established issuer policy. Keeping the charge gives about$0.95105 EPS rather than the primary$0.98841; the like-for-like Street comparison remains pending.
  • The$80m equity-method loss exclusion is judgmental. Some geography is gross of intercompany eliminations, forecast NCI allocation is simplified, and dynamic box-office/source snapshots are limited. These assumptions were preserved.
  • The first repair corrected Business Services average-customer linkage to the existing stated growth assumption, increasing original EPS from about$0.987299 to$0.988415. The last repair linked zero-valued transaction bridge lines; the actual round1/round2/round3 exports have unchanged exact EPS. A prior audit quoted a slightly different approximation, which is superseded by the actual export values in the repair ledger.
